Lydia was a big help making the Jell-0 eggs
And even though we somehow ended up with a dud package of egg dye (like 3 colors actually dissolved properly) we had fun with this little tradition as well.
Saturday we invited my parents, both my grandmas and Brian and Leslie Ann down for a trip to the St. George Art Festival, followed by a cookout and egg hunt at our house. Since the Art Festival is right in the vicinity of the carousel (Lydia's FAVORITE thing to do) we spent a fair amount of time going around and around.
Lydia didn't have much competition in the egg hunt — since she was the only little kid — but we all had fun helping her find 38 little plastic eggs.
It wouldn't be a Grady family Easter without the bunny cake!
Please note the finger holes in the right side below the ear. Lydia was a little anxious for a taste.
Easter Sunday dawned as a beautiful day. I can't believe how grown up Lydia looks in this darling Easter dress, courtesy of Grandma Petty.
Sunday morning Lydia was thrilled to see the Easter Bunny had left a trail of "bunny poop" (candy — Derek's words, not mine) to find where her basket was hidden.
The Easter Bunny found us twice this year with egg hunts on Saturday and then Sunday at Grandma Larson's house. I'd say we definitely had PLENTY of Easter candy.

Adorable, Lisa -- your daughter and the bunny cake! And I'm glad you're having potty-training success. You've inspired me to give it another go with Elliot and to stop thrawting his attempts to be a big boy.
