We start with Easter Saturday that includes the Grady side of the family escaping the cooler Cedar City temperatures to enjoy the St. George Art Festival, followed by a barbecue and Easter egg hunt at our house.
This year my Grandma Petty and my Grandma Grady joined us, along with my parents and my brother Brian and his wife, Leslie, along with Derek, Lydia, Connor and me.
We had a wonderful time!
We can't enjoy Town Square and the Art Festival without a ride or two on the carousel. This time there were four generations riding together. There is something about spinning around on a colorful horse that brings out the kid in all of us.

One of the greatest parts of the kids area at the Art Festival was the Instrument Petting Zoo. They allowed the children to try out real instruments. Lydia was completely taken with the violin. I don't want to say we have a virtuoso on our hands, but she could not be talked into even looking at any other instrument and wanted to play the violin twice.
They also had a sneak preview of the soon-to-be-opened Children's Museum. We are SO excited about it!
So many years I have sat around visiting (and still do often times) while these women have been putting on the party for every kind of gathering imaginable. It makes me happy to see them sitting and relaxing for once while I take care of them.

| Please note the cutlery and napkins. I saw these online and simply had to have them on our Easter buffet line. |
| It's not Easter in the Grady family without the traditional bunny cake. |
The egg hunt was a great success. With zero competition (sadly Lydia is always the only kid at these events, though Connor will join her in coming years) Lydia made quick work of finding all the eggs.
